Normally I am all about the sunsets and wine, back in August – I journeyed with a friend to Tucson. I lived in Tucson for 4 years in college and going back is always an experience. In case you haven’t been, August is very warm. A few highlights from the road trip from San Diego and out and about in Tucson especially around the University of Arizona campus. Bear Down!

Gila Bend Dinosaurs

Nothing like a cool Vermentino, you can’t go wrong with a chilled white wine on a night like this! Enjoying North at La Encantada.

It was so sunny when I was taking these photos, I had no idea what I had captured until we took a break from the heat and headed inside.

Love the restoration of Old Main

Ah memories, so much fun in the Fountain over my time at the U of A.

So many memories from this building, can’t imagine what life would be without it!

Yes on the campus of the University of Arizona, there is the “Arizona State” Museum… but it is about the state history, not the university to the North

Found these great flowers and awesome palm trees on my way to the parking structure. You can see the red brick building in the background. 85% of every building needs to be red brick to aid in softening the desert feel.

Brunch without BOOZE is just a sad, late breakfast. SO true!

Desert Sunset at the Westin La Paloma

We found a small view area between the buildings at the Westin, I captured this shot of my friend taking in the view

Another quick stop on the way home… I was hoping the Jetson’s would be be there!
